Lure Coursing

Lure coursing, "simulated hare hunting", has been in Sweden since the late 70th century. Since 1999, lure coursing was a performance test for the sighthounds, with certificates, CACIL and championships, the Swedish Sighthound Club. Lure coursing participated on the open field. It puts out 10-15 "pulleys" in the ground, then you drag the rope between the pulleys with a plastic bag in the end. The rope is pulled by a motor car battery. A lure coursing court may look anyway depending on how the pulleys are set makes the 'bunny' move in different directions, just like a real bunny would do to get away. The track is about 700-1000 meters and there are two heats.
